Take the one that is not a ruger

Ruger are built like tanks but ruger should not get our money. S&W makes a great revo which will last longer then you and maybe you children. Get the S&W

      +1 vote for the S&W

Ruger sold out to the antis. If it wasn't for the desire of a 10/22 for my kid or the Model 1 Ruger would have never seen a dime from me.

I'm biased towards the S&W. Picked up a 686+ 6-inch from a member here and the thing is awesome.

im going against the crowd and saying the ruger . I bought the gp-100 4 inch stainless slightly used so none of my $$$ went to ruger. I tried the S&W but I didnt like the look or the feel. Ruger is built like a tank and is really a great gun

+1 for the S&W (as far a the anti angle, didn't S&W cut a Faustian deal with the Clinton Admin = sell out too)
I agree the S&W is a nicer weapon (unless you are planning to drive nails with the butt of the revolver cowboy style, then definately go ruger ).

S&W has gone through a couple changes of ownership. They were owned by Brits when they were doing that.

Rugers and S&W's are great but get the one that fits you best. I like the S&W 686 but the Ruger GP100 fits me like a glove so I go for that.
