There is a big difference in concealability between the Shield 7 and 8 round mag. It would be nice to get an extra round in the smaller mag. $23 each is pretty steep though and almost the same cost as a new magazine. Greedy bastards! Not sure I'll buy one (or 8 for all my mags) at this price.

I wonder if it's a similar concept to how MecGar makes 18rd M9 magazines that are exactly the same size as factory 15rd mags.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

It looks like they are just reducing the bulk of the follower and floorplate, allowing one more round to squeeze in.

Yep. Over 700 rounds through my Shield 9mm with Magguts installed mags. Zero issues.

If you have magguts in your magazines, you may want to consider a better cleaning regimen

I think so too, I always assumed that's what MecGar does too, but honestly I'm not sure how they managed to squeeze 3 more rounds into their mags. Must have been a combination of those things plus a spring that can compress further. Somehow they even made the mags more reliable on the process. Crazy. These Magguts parts look like a great option for other pistols models, I wonder if they'll come out with something for other model Glocks, like maybe the 36.

just buy a XD compact (.40 or 9mm) both hold 9 factory, not sure about the .45.
and if you truly need more rounds the compact can also hold the factory full sized mags. (nurtered ca at 10 rounds...the free world 12 or 15 rounds).
no conversions required. all factory stock parts.
