Anyone using the Glock 43 version of this kit with the Z spring?

Anyone using the Glock 43 version of this kit with the Z spring?

Significantly different technology at work vs the G42 and Shield kits...

I think a G43 mag capacity enlarging thread may be in order.

So many options between spring kits and all of the various mag extensions...

If you search this forum under Magguts you will find a very extensive thread by anbu_yoshi about testing with a Shield that has very good info.

Nice idea, but is it worth it? That kit costs $23 plus shipping for +1 capacity. A new 7 or 8 round magazine costs less than $3 to $7 more (@ 44mag). Do you really need that one extra round before a mag change?

I contemplated the same thing 30 years ago for my 1911 mags. You could buy a new spring and follower to increase the capacity of a 7 round magazine to 8 rounds, or you could buy a new 7 round G.I. magazine for $1 more than the spring and follower kit. I figured I would never need that one extra round in the (1911) magazine, but then again it was a 1911 and the awesome 45ACP cartridge which can stop evil-doers just at the mere sight of the gun. Actually if I needed the 8 rounds of 45ACP in the magazine, I would just carry my G21 with 13 rounds in the magazine.

If you don't carry a spare magazine, the extra round might be worth it.

PSA had a sale, $19/apiece with free shipping a few months back. I bought a bunch.
You've just got to lurk on the Deals section here on Calguns long enough and you'll see the deals, usually around holidays.

I have the mag guts in one of my 8 rounders for my Shield. It runs perfectly. I have about 200 rounds through that mag. When I put 1 inn the pipe I have a single stack that holds 10 rounds.

8 round what? 1911 or Shield?

I wrote that a 7 or 8 round Shield magazine can be purchased for $3 to $7 MORE. That means a Shield magazine is either $26 or $30.

As for 1911 magazines, I was referring to 7 round GI magazines. I bought some 7 rounders for about $8 each 6 months ago.
