I would like to buy a colt 1911 manufactured in the year 2015. Is there a way to easily identify the year of manufacture?

For old guns yes.
For new ones I would guess that it's the same thing.
The serial number should tell you the year of manufacture.
I have no idea what the serial number range is for 2015.Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
