Put the apex trigger in the shield. Its a whole different animal then.

In my mind, "California Handguns" covers guns which are on the roster. Otherwise, wouldn't the title just be "handguns?"

Well, when I posted the Glock 43, I didn't see a section on the forum that was just HANDGUNS. I have no clue as to what guns are on the roster, I left CA. over 30 years ago.
If it really bothers anyone, just ask one of the MODs to move my post to where it will fit better.

If you choose to only post in threads that cover guns on the roster... I seriously doubt anyone will complain.

Nice find, Gunny. I like mine... except for the trigger pull when I got it. A Ghost connector fixed that.

Found the comment about most cops ditching their 42s for 43s when they came out. I went the other way - bought the 43 first, decided to pick up a 42 for easier pocket carry in the summer and when wearing a suit.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

I've carried a G43 every day for over a year now. A few situations I've carried the pistol are, around the house, official duties, an average day with the family, outdoor sports, on a run, on my nightstand, a backup and yardwork in the neighborhood.

                  Here are my following recommendations:

Buy the Pearce +1 for the magazine you carry in the pistol. It's near identical in size to the pinky extension factory mag from Glock, except it holds an extra round. I pocket carry my G43 with the pearce +1 in a Blackhawk size 4 holster with the pocket rubberized friction band around it. It is VERY comfortable and safe as long as you keep nothing in that pocket besides the pistol. It's so comfortable in fact, I forget its even there. There's no adjusting the gun due to discomfort from excessive weight, worry about printing, worry about it being exposed, no handle rash, no excessive sweating and no bruising. I need to reiterate how great it feels to be stress free while pocket carrying this pistol because I know for a fact, it's not visible to the public. Also, the pistol is very readily available if it needs to be presented, if not faster since you can put your hand in your pocket if you can 'feel' a threat prior to it becoming a life or death situation.

Depending on the weather, I'll put a back up mag with the glock store +2 extension (not recommended because they've wasted my time and money, otherwise good product) in my opposing pocket, or a double mag pouch with 2, 8 round mags on my belt. There were no G43 mag pouches when I got my G43 a month after it had been released, so I made due with a Blackhawk 1911 double mag pouch that gladly holds my backup mags with some retention too. I'm not biased towards Blackhawk, they just happened to have the perfect product I wanted for a comfortable and capable CCW setup.

                  DISCLAIMER

I am not a Glock fanboy and I have sold all my Glock pistols sized G26 up to G34. However, I think Glock got it right on the G43 and it's the best option for a pocket carry 9mm pistol at the time of this post. If anyone cares, my go to full sized is a Sig P229r 9mm.

Very happy with the 43 as a carry for SoCal weather.

                    No complaints.

I shot a bunch of different types of ammo in it today to see how it functioned.
It worked great even with +P.
                      I also ordered my holster.

I wish I would have bought two. Ended up selling both my G19 and my G43 to my brother since he applied for and got his CCW approved. He didn't have any handguns otherwise.

That G43 shot a lot better than I was expecting.

Kee texted me Friday to let me know my holster was ready.
While at work today I stopped by his shop and picked it up.

Nice Glock and holster. I don't own a Glock yet, but I've been eyeing the 43 extensively. I'm really curious how it shoots.

Not sure about that rear sight though.
