Only one Gen 1 17 though.

No you cannot, the Gen 3 USA frames are marked different. Trying to talk an FFL who doesn't know better into doing this puts their license on the line.

That Glock Inc (USA) is a different manufacturer than Glock Ges.m.b.H. (Austria). Because they are a different manufacturer, in order to be listed on the Roster of Handguns Certified for sale Glock pistols made by Glock Inc (USA) need to have a chamber load indicator, magazine disconnect mechanism, and microstramping array.

The FDE Glock are not a regular production item and are a special order variation for a specific distributor (Lipsey's). Therefore, it is the distributor's responsibility to have the Glock Gen 3 FDE pistols listed. (Lipsey's needs to do it, not Glock).

^ yep, this is where I see the police trade in Glocks, in the past I have seen Gen2 and Gen3 17,19,26,21,22,23,30 and some rtfs, usually 22s. They also have gen4s listed at times, I don't even look.
