    Single Action Exemption?

Does this mean all, some or ....? Tried the state website but couldn't make sense of it.

        Single Action Exemption?

Are they exempt from the requirements for California's handgun roster?

Yes. That's what the exemption means, they're exempt from the roster.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Have the following available if having a LGS order a single action revolver for you, or if you are purchasing from an on-line shop and having it shipped to a local FFL:

Note that you are looking specifically at 12133.

Sometimes shops, whether local or distant, need to be educated in the Code. I have several times had legal single action revolver sales denied by mail order shops: "We can't ship this to you since it is not on the roster." I have had to give them a reference to the PC, which they had their folks verify, and then they were good to go with shipping.

Same issues will apply if you order an Olympic Target Shooting pistol, which (if on the Olympic Exempt list) is also not on "the roster."

Due to the Deadly Weapons Recodification Act of 2010, Penal Code 12133 has been voided and recodified into Penal Code 32000-32110.

The single-action revolver exemption is Penal Code 32100(a).

This is good info, the Wiley Clapp Ruger SP-101 has a barrel less than 3", so PPT is the only option for me to get one of these! I like the sights it has but getting one will be a challenge, to say the least...

                    Single Action Exemption?

Talked to a gunstore/FFL about having a 3 screw Single Six Ruger without a transfer bar blocking the hammer delivered to him. He said he would take delivery but did I want to take a chance on the state denying my possession despite the SA Exemption. California Penal Code section 12126 says a double or single action revolver must have a safety device preventing the hammer from resting directly on the cartridge. Anyone know if that section's applicable despite the exemption?

That is only to be on the roster. Exempt from the roster means it's exempt from the roster requirements.

I had an unconverted three screw (old model) Blackhawk shipped here from out of state without issue. It never came up, although YMMV.

Some FFLs will convert a double action to single action to achieve the exemption.
