Are you serious? You have 26k rounds through a glock 21? That's amazing!

Actually, that's no great feat, as I'm sure there some on this forum that have much more.
I'v had that particular G21 for twenty years now, so looking at it from a yearly perspective is not really that much. I've had the great opportunity to take it along on numerous Gunsite trips, as well as a good bit of club events and other activities. I have a good set of steel night sites on it, as we do a bunch of night events n the summertime, so a couple hundred rounds in no/low light goes pretty quickly. I always bring a second, identical pistol to class, and so far I have never even needed to get the spare out of the trunk.
What I really like about it is the variety of low-grade, cheap, steel-cased/bi-metal jacketed ammo from Russia that this particular pistol just seems to love. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, ever seems to fail in it. And it can get VERY dirty, and keep going.

J-shot, 26k rounds equates to approx 80 rounds a week, for 6 years. I have a G22 purchased new in early 2010, with about the same give or take... my first handgun, and only for a couple years, I shot it... a lot.
For a Glock, and .45acp (in theory; low pressure) in particular... is nothing, well broken in, nothing more. Should last 10x that with regular maintenance.

Not surprised so much by round count, but rather that the original barrel is still in use.

I have 5 10 rounders. I don't need that many being in AZ now. If you want a few PM me. I would like to get some standard mags.

Your typical handgun barrel wont see the kind of pressure and velocity prone to wearing out rifling, not saying it doesnt degrade with normal use, just not in the way a rifle would. but to quantify how many rounds of a common pistol service cartridge shot through a barrel to even notice a change is... subjective I suppose, but I can't print 1" groups at 50+ yards anyway. I've been shooting for 20+ years, my dad has pistols with likely over 50k rounds through them.. no difference in accuracy yet noted.
That may change when you start getting into cartridges like 9x25 Dillon, .454 Casull & .500 S&W Magnum, loaded with relatively light projectiles, operating and pressures nearly tripling standard .45acp loads and velocities pushing 2k+ fps, but I don't have enough experience with them to say.

Aftermarket Glock 21 barrels (lone wolf, etc) are like $100.

Not apples to apples but I have a G19 with 20k something and it runs great.

My buddy has a G21SF with around 38k rounds...still accurate....
