    Glock 21 gen 2

Can I get info on glock 21 gen 2? The good, bad, and ugly? A friend wants to do a trade with me and I just want some info. I love my dad's glock 9mm. How 21 shoots? Problems? Getting parts? That old?
    Thanks

My favorite Glock, maybe my favorite 45.
Parts are easy, Gen2's are well regarded.
You should shoot it if you haven't before.
Some people can't get past a double stack 45 grip size.
Others can't stand Glock triggers and don't shoot them well.

    Proof is on the shootnc.

If he is asking under $450, then it's a sane price.

I approve this trade. The G21 is a great gun.

Gen 2 Glocks are good as any of the others. Parts are available everywhere. Won't be a problem. I also approve the trade depending on what you're giving him.

After well over 26K rounds of everything from reloads to steel-cased Russian ball, I would have to say that the example I use is good to go. The finish on the slide is well worn, but the barrel and internals are sound. I clean it annually, and replace the factory guide rod every now and then.
This has easily been the most reliable pistol I have ever owned, however I'm giving a newer Nighthawk GRP Recon the chance these days.

Awesome pistol. I am always on the lookout for one.

I have shot a couple of them. I like the no finger set up in that size grip.

                Very accurate. Great .45ACP option.

I knew you would be in this thread... You don't disappoint. Bravo.

I also have this generation of the Glock. I would never sell it.
I love the fact it is .45 acp and a double stack. Mine also shoots like a laser.

If your Glock shoots lasers, you're probably doing it wrong.

Just shut up and trade, your on the winning side of this deal unless your trading a gen1 glock 17 with the flex mag.

Are you serious? You have 26k rounds through a glock 21? That's amazing!

Thanks for all the responses. The deal fell through, but at least I know to keep my eyes open for one.

I have that exact gun. Before I switch to a thumbs forward grip, I found it too fat to hold.

I brought it to a GSSF and had the armorer look at it, he swapped out the entire fire control (the trigger bar and all the stuff attached to it) and said it's been upgraded (in the 20 years since I've had it). I can't tell the difference in the new guts.

One thing about the .45 glocks is that I don't think they feed Semi-wadcutters as well as a 1911. One situation where the 1911 is more reliable!! But of course it'll eat round nose bullets all day long.

Remember to dial 1 before 911.

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

                              There. Are. Four. Lights!
