In a heart beat if I was the one trading for the python. If I had the python I'd tell them to take a long walk off a short bridge.

I've had it for about 25 years sitting in the safe. I don't use it. I don't shoot it and I want a .45 for CCW. I'm conflicted to say the least.

The Kobra Carry is an amazing 1911. That being said, I wouldnt make that trade, not even foe 2 Kobra Carry 1911s. The Ed Brown will hold its value and possibly even appreciate a bit. the SS Python will only continue to increase in value in that condition. You'll regret making the trade if you do it.

Python Pros and Cons:

Pros: They don't make them anymore and no one makes revolvers like that anymore, quality revolver, collector value will increase, accurate, aesthetically beautiful craftsmanship, it's a Colt, it's an effective tool, it's a revolver.

Cons: Value limits the likely hood you will shoot or carry it much, it's a revolver, it's harder to conceal carry, less and less quality gunsmiths can work on it, not very customizable.

Kobra carry Pros and Cons

Pros: Holds two more rounds than a revolver, different caliber, easily concealable, quality craftsmanship, aesthetically beautiful, custom design and fitting, accurate, valuable, it's still being produced, more customizable than a revolver.

Cons: It's not a Python...

My opinion is that you save up and keep one snake in the safe and another on your hip.
