    1911, Which is more fun?

Alright 1911 owners. Those who have shot 1911s in both 9mm and .45ACP, which do you prefer? I am really concerned about which is most FUN, not in ballistics, cost, etc. Talking about pure FUN to shoot!!!

Only ever shot .45 in 1911.
      Can't say it's not fun.

            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I was raised believing that your first 1911 must be a .45. Too Old School ???

I do love my SA 9mm 1911. Accurate as heck and fun to shoot. But to me 1911 more fun to shoot in .45- started shooting w 1911's and have 6 in .45 now.

For 9mm, as most people probably, I have a lot of different types- polymer, DA/SA etc and love my Beretta 92's and S&W M&Ps.

Never had any issue w function on any of my 1911's and taken all my handgun classes w .45 1911 so tend to gravitate towards that for HD and range-

the steel plates swing a lot more at Angeles w 230 gr vs 9mm! And no I'm not trying to start a debate of .45 being a better round- I have Speer Gold Dot 124gr and I'd feel just as comfortable using that for HD if didn't love my .45's so much and dedicated all my training to that platform.

9mm fun to have various types/platforms.

.45 is what John Moses Browning intended for the 1911 and the gun is optimized around it. It is a perfect marriage. It can't get any better than 45.

For 9mm fun, try the Borwning Hi Power.

9mm may be more fun but I own a .45.

.45 is way more fun but is also more money!

Get both!!! That's really the most fun!
