My friend purchased a SP 2022 as his first 9mm gun and took it out and said he liked it. I went out with him and let him try my CZ SP-01 and he really liked my CZ and felt it was easier to shoot more accurately. Needless to say, he bought his 2nd gun shortly after and it was a SP-01.

I have never shot a Sig SP-2022 and tried it out. I wasn't expecting much from it but once I got use to the trigger pull and the sights, I actually thought it shot very well and I had a nice decent group at 10 yards. I should have taken a photo of the target but forgot.

I shot a better group than my friend and he use to be a Marine and was a sharp shooter. I could tell he wasn't happy that I shot his 2022 better than he did so he focused and shot a nice group right after I did. Amazing how some friendly competition can bring more out of people.

Not starting any war but I felt it is easier to shoot a SP-2022 more accurately than a Glock 19.

I have a German made SP2022 bought almost 10 years ago. Flawless gun, but I rarely shoot it anymore.

Strange was going to post that exact same sentence. Same gun same purchase time.

They are high-quality handguns. Probably nothing comparable for the price. You used to be able to get the nightsight versions for $399 at Turners. That said, the trigger pull is lonnnnnngggg. Way too long, IMO, with the trigger mashed up against the grip when it finally decides to break. I had two of them and sold them both. I don't like the standard Sig triggers either. I do own and like Sigs w/SRT, particularly the 226 SAO I have.

Nearing 3000 rounds in mine. I'm very happy with it. It rests in my nightstand.

It's easy to accidentally lock the slide back. More so if you shoot a 1911 first.

                Any Sig SP 2022 owners?

One of the best triggers for under $500. I like this trigger better than my CZ PCR. Not only is it a lighter pull it is smoother and breaks cleaner than my CZ. But then again my CZ has one of the worst triggers I've ever shot on a CZ. The SP2022 is what I'd buy again if I only had around $500.

I had a SP2009 and it shot great. Regret selling it

Has anyone tried to change the sights on the 2022 yet? Would like to install some trijicon hd's on this bad boy. If so, how did you do so? If you did it yourself, did you have access to the proprietary sight pusher, or did you use a hammer and punch and some prayer?

SP2022 9MM was my first purchase and even after adding more handguns it remains my favorite to shoot. Fantastic gun regardless of the price. Extremely reliable and very accurate. Thousands of rounds through mine and not a single FTF or any other mechanical mishap. And yeah, if you take the plunge you will be hooked on Sig.

Oh it's kind of weird I actually already have a p226 mk25 but wanted the sp 2022 as my next polymer pistol. The sp 2022 in jail is kind of weird no lci or mag disconnect which I though had to have these, so I'm really happy to have found that at a gun shop hehe. cant wait to take it to the range!
