DW customer rep (forgot his name...somewhere in my email archive back in 2013) told me the gun is working fine. BS. It did not work. Spent $1500 dollars (for the gun) + over 700 rounds of 45 ACP (for "break in period") + magazines fee (total around 2000 dollars) and it was complete trash. I sold that gun quickly and got other pistols that are reliable and do not need "break in period" BS. I personally never had any trouble with Berettas, M&Ps, and Glocks and I am glad I sold that shiny pretty piece of ****. So I voted HK 45.
Wow. Thanks for filling me in. Too late, though, I already drosed mine earlier today! Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with yours. Hoping mine is better!

Majority of people had positive experiences with Dan Wesson CBOBs. It will be fine. Reliability is utmost importance to me. I believe that a reliable gun should be able to shoot 500 rounds with zero failure without cleaning in between sessions. I test my new guns that way and if they don't pass, I get rid of them. My CBOB had too many failures even after "break in period" and it was not acceptable. I hope your CBOB is a good one like majority of CBOB owners at calguns. It sure is sexy gun though.

My experience with my CBOB has been close to perfection itself. Has had a couple of malfunctions during the break-in. Probably closing in on a thousand rounds now, and nary a hiccup.

I might be in the total minority on this, but while I like the look of the bobtail, I actually prefer the regular MSH for shooting. I find it to be much more comfortable and much easier to get a solid grasp on.

Regardless, congratulations on joining the club.
