Good price on a Russian Mak?

For a Russian Baikal Makarov with an adjustable rear sight, particularly the one with the U shape was selling at Addax Tactical for $400. I already own a Sig SP2022 I am very happy with, but the Mak's have always interested me. Is this a fair price or should I look elsewhere?

Good price by today's standards. .380? Or 9mm Mak? Military holster included?

I would say $300 tops. That's with everything in the box.

A lot of haters out there for this model of makarov. But they work every time, no issues ever.

I think $400 is a lot of money, but in this state, and that roster, Who knows?

I'd be a buyer for that price. I prefer 9mm Mak over. 380, less availability but better power. Plus from a collector standpoint, it will be worth more in the long-run.

Classic firearms had it around $300 or so.

I would value mine at around 400 in todays market. Have a sig 2022 also (have had 2) Both great guns. 9x18 mak is very cheap
Only issue ive ever had is the screw holding down the adjustable sight came loose and was shooting high.

For that money, get a Bulgarian. At least they are C&R. The Baikal's are the least desirable Maks. Nothing wrong with them, but they are modern, the adjustable rear sight looks dorky and the Baikal billboards all over the gun make it less aesthetically pleasing.
If it were the Russian milsurp model, OTOH, those are the most desirable, they are worth big bucks in good condition. A Chinese or EG are nothing to sneeze at either, fairly rare. Maks are good little pistols and 9x18 Mak is okay to shoot although if you shoot a few magazines, then pick up one of your 9mm pistols and shoot it, it will feel like a big bore round in comparison. 9x18 Mak is not very powerful but fun to plink with and reload for.

I've never seen a Bulgarian that was C&R. Where did you get that information?

                        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
