    CZ owners

I have been wanting one for a while and think I will commit.

I am in CA and there seems to be a good selection still on the roster.

    I have enough 9's, don't want a .40 and was considering the CZ97B in .45

What do you guys that own one or have shot one think of this pistol or those of you that have others.....your thoughts are welcomed as well.

    Thank you for the time

CZ 75B compact owner here. Best pistols for the money IMO. You can't go wrong with one!

Personal choice, I like the CZ75 single action.

I don't like the SP01 (or any with the front rail). They seem front heavy to me, but others i have talked to like that because it helped with recoil.

I also have the compact. They fit my hand very well.

I have one. Not that hard to find most models. I have a 75B in 45. Great trigger, but I did have to repunch the rollpin for the trigger group as it was sliding out by about 500 or so rounds.
I also picked up the rosewood grips from CZ - I didn't like the plastic ones it came with. The rubber ones felt good, but I like the wood look on the CZ.

I have an SP-01 and a PCR that fit my hands very well. I haven't shot or held a 97B, but the biggest complaint that I hear about them is the grip may be too wide front to back for small to medium size hands. And, they are a bit more difficult to find, but not impossible. A couple of the Calgunners on here are very experienced collectors and shooters of CZs, so I hope they chime in.

I only have five. All in 9mm. But if I ever want any thing in a .45, it will always be a variant of a 1911.

                      I just bought one

I just bought a CZ 97B from a gun store in Vallejo CA. It is called Triple A's Sporting Goods. I haven't held it in my hands yet, because they had to ship it to me, but at least I found one. You should give them a call and see if they have any more in stock.

I have a few CZ's including the Tactical Sport in .40 and the 97B in .45.

Sounds like you should find a 97B. I turned mine into an SA only using a few CGW parts and it is awesome. It was awesome stock too.....

The grip is large, but different grips can change the feel. It might just be my favorite CZ.

Wow, you must have a unicorn because I have never heard of a CZ 75B chambered in .45 ACP. Are you sure you didn't mean to say .40 S&W?

The CZ 97B is a good .45 which holds 10 rounds and is a soft shooter. For the price of around $700-$800, these are great platforms which you can build upon. Send it out to Cajun Gun Works or CZ Customs to have them modified to become awesome shooters that will rival semi-custom 1911's that cost over $3K in performance. Everyone should own a 97B.

Unfortunately you won't be able to buy the ones on gunbroker because they are most likely not the CA legal SKU, which is 01401. Those aluminum grips on the 01411 SKU make them completely unsafe for us here in commie central.

You'll have to hunt and get lucky enough to find one in a shop somewhere in CA, or buy one used. They do pop up in shops from time to time.

I do have a 97B and love it. Very accurate, and can be made even more accurate and fun to shoot with work by Cajun Gun Works. It is a full size gun and steel frame so it's heavy, be aware of that. Easily one of the best options for a 45 in CA.
