No, but I've looked at several videos of the takedown of the Firestorm and the Thunder and they seem pretty straightforward to me. Of course, my opinion may change once I have to actually do it myself.

What part of the process do you find to be difficult?

The part where you reattach the slide to the frame can be akward.

The only thing I don't like about this gun is that the field stripping is a little different..

My Thunder is very easy to field strip. I think it is one of the easiest semi-autos I have ever owned.

I tried to do it with no knowledge of the system so it was strange in my opinion.

Is this recoil spring that you ordered a heavier spring? I checked out the link and it looks like it's just a replacement of the original. Does anyone know the poundage on the OEM spring?

It is just a replacement factory spring. I think something was wrong with my original one, or they got a batch that was too light or something.
