I picked mine up today and took it to the range.
I like it but I got 2 failures to feed out of 100 rounds. The first one happened while firing and the other while sending the slide home to chamber a round.
I was using Federal 95 grain FMJ.

Not bad at all. Every gun requires a break in period.

Are you using Bersa magazines or aftermarket ? If the latter, lots of complaints about them. I would continue to practice with it and see if the failures go away during break in period. Bersa has a lifetime warranty, I would call them if FTF continue.

After reading this thread and thinking about how much my Firestorm kicks, I went ahead and ordered a new recoil spring as well as a set of walnut grips for the gun.

When I got the new recoil spring it was about 30% longer than the old one. The old one only had about 300 rounds on it so it should not be meaningfully worn. I put the new spring in and took it to the range. It was much lighter recoiling and actually comfortable to shoot. I also like the walnut grips quite a bit and they seem to make the grip a little more full in my hands.

It is so much more fun to shoot now. I am not sure what happened with my spring, but for the several of us on here talking about the heavy recoil of the Firestorm, you should look into a new recoil spring.

The Firestorm kicks ? I thought the recoil was quite manageable and mild.

yeah, read the rest of the post. That is exactly what I am saying... It seems like mine was unusual. So I got a new recoil spring... and now it is manageable.... so yeah.

On a side note, based on many posts at lots of locations, only order Bersa magazines. The after market ones which are a lot cheaper do not seem to work well.
Stick with MecGar. Got mine at CDNN for $16 but they currently OOS.

thanks for the writeup on your Bersa Firestorm, and there's no doubt that you'll get a lot of bang for your buck.

Factory mag. it only happened twice, I'm going to pick up some WWB or UMC ammo and feed a few hundred rounds through it this week or next.

^I'm going to try a new recoil spring, also. Hopefully I have the same results as jeremyro. We'll see.

                        Thanks for the link.
                        I just ordered one,
Hopefully it smooths out my recoil.

Is this recoil spring that you ordered a heavier spring? I checked out the link and it looks like it's just a replacement of the original. Does anyone know the poundage on the OEM spring?

The only thing I don't like about this gun is that the field stripping is a little different..

How so? The fixed barrel? I've watched a couple of videos on stripping it and it seemed pretty simple. More so than most of my other guns.

                                Have you ever stripped it?
