You could also just buy another HK USP .40 - heck, with the "war on .40sw" you might be able pick up 2 or 5 for $100 soon...

    USP40 was my first HK

What a gorgeous set of pistols you have there! The HK45 is just the Beez neez! Ha and the USP-40 is my very first HK pistol as well, and I absolutely adore it!

      HK will not go under.

Countries through out the world have too much invested in HK weaponry to let them go down.

Ha definitely won't be taking a sledge Hammer to the frame anytime soon! Thank you for the input!

I certainly hope so, I can say as of right now, HK is my favorite brand, would hate for them to disappear. Thank you for the input!

Honestly sometInes I freak out for no reason, and this is probably one of those times. And I would love to buy another USP, but the pricing of books these days for alot of my classes say otherwise! Thank you for the input!

I don't presently own an HK, but I seriously doubt they will go out of business. If things ever did get to that point, one of the other German manufacturers, or any gun manufacturer, would probably step in and buy them. Kinda like how Beretta owns Benelli, Sako, Stoeger, Franchi, Tikka etc., FN buying Browning, JP Sauer & Sig merging etc, etc. HK has a large customer base military wise, and I'm sure any manufacturer would jump at the chance to add those contracts to their portfolio.

1, they will not go away for ever
                        probably just a reorganization
                        2. unless you plan on putting well over 20,000 rounds thru your HK I wouldnt worry about it

HK's financial woes have been known for a while. Even if the company went under and liquidated, they have fabulous assets and goodwill, which another firearms company would likely buy to keep the line going.

Well my trouble is that not even a month ago and bought a brand new HK USP-40, and I absolutely love that pistol. But now my fear is that say in the future HK does go out of business, how the heck will i get any replacement parts for my USP incase something goes wrong with it. I honestly haven't had the time to shoot my USP yet, but now after hearing that HK might go belly up, maybe it's better i never shoot it. :/
Anyway, do you guys think that HK will ever get rid of their financial troubles?
Um, how's that a solution? Yes, your gun will never break if you don't shoot it. Your car will never need gasoline if you don't drive it. The sky is not falling, CL.

So recently some of you have followed my USP45 FTF thread. While my pistol is back to functioning flawlessly I wanted to create a separate thread about the conversation I had with the man who worked on my firearm. Side note- This man works at HK everyday so what he says counts. This is not some...

Read the OP's post. You'll probably go broke before you break a USP lol
