    Hk going under?

Hey calgunners, so just today I found out that HK was in financial trouble, and this trouble has been ongoing since 2013. Well my trouble is that not even a month ago and bought a brand new HK USP-40, and I absolutely love that pistol. But now my fear is that say in the future HK does go out of business, how the heck will i get any replacement parts for my USP incase something goes wrong with it. I honestly haven't had the time to shoot my USP yet, but now after hearing that HK might go belly up, maybe it's better i never shoot it. :/
Anyway, do you guys think that HK will ever get rid of their financial troubles?

Why not buy the most common broken parts now in case they do go under? Do you honestly think you'll stressed out that gun so much that it'll break down?

Not going under. This was addressed last year. I don't remember the particulars. But if you are worried. Buy a couple extras. USP is rated for 20,000 rounds before spring replacement... Or some silly number like that.
edit* do a search at HKPro about this. You'll see

Thats what i was thinking of doing. I'll probably head over to HK pro and see if there any common items that go bad and probably pick up some replacements. Thanks for the input!

That amazing to hear! Glad to hear that HK will be around for a bit longer! I know for a fact that I will never shoot anything near 20k rounds through this thing, but I just get paranoid, so il probably pick up a extra set of Springs regardless!

            HAHAHA!!!

Broken parts on a USP? What are those?

You will break before it does.

HK will not go under. However, the only part you might need to replace is recoil spring assembly after 20K+ rounds. It is not expensive.

              I wouldn't worry about a thing.

Why don't you call the factory instead and ask them? They are very helpful.

I doubt I'll get close to 3k rounds let alone 20k. But maybe im just freaking out over nothing. I appreciate the input!

Didn't think of that! Looks like I might just do that instead!

Don't sweat it - most of the items you'll ever need for replacement are largely available at places other than hk customer service. Just continue to enjoy shooing it!

You could also just buy another HK USP .40 - heck, with the "war on .40sw" you might be able pick up 2 or 5 for $100 soon...

                        USP40 was my first HK

I have had a USP since 2001 and have not replaced anything.

Wouldnt worry about it at all. As long as you dont take a sledge hammer to the polymer frame the only thing you might have to do is replace worn out springs which should be easily available. 10K rds is a lot, probably would have to be alive another 50 years to shoot that much.

There will still be parts available even if HK America goes under.
