So what is the wait time for an actual handgun from SVI to your FFL? Is that the 1 to 2 year wait? Or do they have a bunch in stock that they can send out right away? After you DROS it, wait 10 days, take possession, and then send it back, then how long does it take for the mods? Is that the original 1 to 2 year wait? Or is it an additional 1 to 2 years for the mods?
I was told that in 9 months they would send me a roster gun duplicate with my serial number. After I DROS it, wait 10 days then pick it up I send it back to them to finish the customizations. Then I wait another 3-6 months for it to come back to me. Total payment due is when the customization is complete, not when I receive the DROS gun.

The total elapsed time is the 12-15 month quoted. So, worst case I will have it mid July, 2017.

This makes a lot more sense to me. I would hate for the CA laws to change and I get screwed in the process.

I want one looking exactly like what's in the picture but in 9mm.
Go to http://www.infinityfirearms.com/2001.php create an account and do a gun design. Tell them you want a 9mm exactly as in pic number 3221 and they will give you a quote within 24 hours.

Ultimate? Your last gun? That's it? Not buying any more?

It might be the last one, though I am tempted to order two to have one as a backup. I will decide after my CZ 75 TS in .40 S&W comes back from frame reduction as that will be my competition gun until the SVI gets ready.

I am not much of a collector when it comes to handguns. Some guys here buy more in a week than I currently own.

Basically, I have my CCW handguns, competition handguns, and range handguns. As I upgrade or change firearms I sell the others. As a matter of fact now that I have bought a HK USP Elite recently, I will sell an XDs 3" in 9mm that I have never fired. I had bought it for CCW, then I got a Sig P938 and decided to use the Sig.
