Maybe just get a FO front sight and keep the back sights blacked out?Comment

You know until you wrote this I had totally forgotten that they make FO rear sights. I had a HiViz set for my old Kimber Custom II that was green rears and a red front... horrible Christmas tree setup. Never bothered to put the rears on and now my cat plays with it.Comment

Depends on the person, so whatever you pick up better.
General purpose I just default to red, works well for me.
That said, I do like green better in low light conditions, but I hate using anything green in the desert where the sand is easily blown out by the sun.ExtremeXComment

I use green.
My eyes can't pick up on the red at all.Comment

My understanding, and remembering what my electronic instructor said, was that the human eye (cone section) was more sensitive to the green wave length and could pick up a green laser at a further distance then red. f4tComment

Who cares what we like - it's your eyes what do you see best?
OK, not that I've done my grumpy impersonation, I like green but.... I am partially color blind - and my difficult colors are red and green. I don't see the red fiber front sights at all.Send Lawyers, Guns and Money - On second thought, hold the Lawyers.Comment

I'm red-green colorblind and the green FO pops like a neon light in the sun. Indoors not so much but still easier to pick up than red.Comment
