I have an opposing opinion. I'm not a fan. I can remember when a simple scratch on my weapon was a problem. Now, I don't care and see my guns as tools for self defense and range practice use. That gun is hideous and deserves to be battered to death with ammo. Its like a pink hammer. Why? Why? Why? I wouldn't take it to the jobsite for sake of ridicule.

I have fond memories of playing Freedom Force and Duck Hunt with the Zapper. This Glock is just as ugly as the Zapper. To each their own.

It isn't that it is ugly. It is actually a very good copy of the zapper. The thing that everybody is upset about is that painting real guns to look like toys is dangerous. Not for the person with the gun painted like a toy. But for kids who have toy guns. The whole point with putting the bright orange tip on toy guns, or making them in bright colors, is to make them recognizable as non-weapons. So that a kid playing with one outside is less likely to get shot by a cop. If there are a lot of real guns painted like toys, that extra fraction of a second hesitation that the bright colors bought for kids will be gone. A cop isn't going to automatically think "toy". He will simply think "weapon". And you end up with a dead kid and a cop messed up for life. Do you remember the doofus that came on here a few years ago with pictures and video of himself open carrying an AR and AK pistol through a park? The ones that were painted bright colors to look like toys? He was flamed big time for it. HE painted them to look like toys so that he was less likely to get shot. But his trolling the police was making it that much more dangerous for kids in the area. Think before you guys do something like this. Don't just think about how cool it looks. Think about why toy guns are painted the way they are. People who do this kind of crap are going to get kids killed. This isn't just mothers getting their panties in a bunch. This is idiots putting kids at risk because they don't bother to think, and mothers getting upset about that.
