    15rd mags

I have a glock 19 that came with 2 - 10rd mags. Is it legal to use my 15rd mags with this firearm in California? I'm not in the city of Los Angeles.

Possessing and using 15 round mags in a handgun is NOT illegal unless in LA and a few other cities. It is illegal to import, manufacture, buy and sell hi caps. No hi cap in a bullet buttoned semi automatic rifle.

That being said, I would carry a copy of penal codes applicable to you and have a general knowledge of them. Dont be afraid to exercise the little gun rights you have. The less informed we are, the easier it is for the gun grabbers.

It would be advisable to be able to show proof that you did not bring them into the state in an illegal manner.

If you legally obtained the magazine before dec31 1999 you are fine.

If you used one of them loopholes talked about online after that then no.

                  ^THIS^

im more than willing to take a stand with my legally purchased standard capacity magazines...i don't even have 10 round magazines for my Browning HP or my Beretta 84 Cheetah

these are all firearms i purchased well before the magazine ban and these are all the original 13 round magazines...im not getting rid of them, nor am i getting rid of the 15 round magazines I have for my 92fs, even though i've only had the 92fs for a few years...i still had those magazines before the ban

even though they can always use the "nuisance" law/excuse to confiscate any +10 magazine, possession is still not illegal, except for the few cities that have taken it upon themselves to ban them...

even if he had proof that he bought them before the ban, they could still take them if they want to...i see no reason to prove anything to them, they have to prove YOU broke the law

it's a shame the crap this State is getting away with

Legal to own for a rifle but not legal to use in a bullet buttoned rifle. Go featureless or save them for a shtf situation.

It's legal to use them In a featureless rifle? I thought you could own the mags but couldn't ever use them. I guess I should check the Calguns wiki.

Plenty of post-ban, standard capacity magazines in circulation.

Wrong ! Burden of proof is in the prosecutor not yours.

It's simple. If you legally possess them, you can use them. Period.
