Yeah, don't do that. Not for defense. Different extractor, ejector, striker, extractor spring loaded bearing, magazine, follower. Fun range toy, but there are a lot more parts different from .40 to 9mm on a Glock besides the barrel. I'd never bet my life on it with just a conversion barrel.

Seems like the majority of folks don't have that problem, except you can't use .40 mags of course.

I've had 2 Lone Wolf conversion barrels in a G27 and G23 and never had a single problem. But I don't use anything modified for defense.

Just drosed one.. But had to get the glock night sights instead of the plastic sights. Cant complain though. But I can complain that it took me 3 hours of waiting at proforce. It's a blue label price but would have paid full if I didn't have to waste my whole morning and waiting.

And if Glock could have put out a reliable product using more common parts between the 40 and 9, you bet they would have. But the fact that these parts differ between 40 and 9, as supplied by the factory, tells you it probably should be used for range time only.

I picked one up last Friday in Brentwood, they had several. I paid for it but could not DRO's it until my new CDL comes in the mail from DMV.

Went in there on my birthday for one when they had the no tax no dros fee offer. $550 OTD... Unfortunately my license was also expired lol

I was able to buy a used g19 with factory night sights, 2x15 rnd mags and a pre ban g17 mag for $450. Checked the serial and it was produced in 11/08, so it's pre extractor issues. I consider it a steal as it is still in good condition. Barrel is a bit worn, but still usable. Bought it from my bubba of a coworker.

Unless your LE, in another state, or the mags were permanently blocked... You just admitted to a crime on a public forum.

Not the Turner's in Signal Hill. The lady at the counter looked like she gives the "4-6 weeks out" bit 10 times a day.

I was not looking for specific places when I first posted but in post 21 I did say I was in Long Beach and travel to San Diego frequently.

For the posts of grabbing a .40 and such...part of my reason for the G19 is I need some wife buy-in. When I took her to the range to test fire the G19 she said that was almost too much. Convincing her to fire a bigger caliber would be out of the question and bad form for me to get a beginner to punch above their weight or comfort level. Scaring her would kill any future gun purchases I have in mind. . Thank you for all the input though.
