The stainless railed was my first 1911. It had a lot of issues from the get go, but Sig took care of me and it came back perfect (also had a 4lb trigger job done while it was there).

It's a great shooter, you'll enjoy it very much. You'll end up with more than one 1911 if the bug bites...it sure bit me

Same here. I love mine but it still seems to ftc once in a while. And more so w/ cheap ammo. That'll probably be my excuse to buy another 1911. So while I send in my sig stainless rail, I won't miss out on shooting a 1911. Lol.

I've continued to take my 1911 every single time I've gone to the range since I first posted this thread. Not a single issue yet regardless of ammo!

sig 1911 good start. Now the sickness will spread. Wilson Combat within 24 months I predict.

My illness spread very quickly. Springfield TRP to Wilson Combat Tactical Elite in 11 months.

I own a few 1911's so I was a little bit skeptical of the Sig's
Bought one last year, and it has become my go to 45. Accurate, reliable and downright fun to shoot!

My Son has a C3 Loves it. Finding a carry holster for it was not easy. We ended up having a custom holster and belt made for it. Its a good shooter for sure.

BTW I suggest any sig 1911 owner that's using the provided flat spring (if they still do that) to buy a gi guide rod and regular spring. Mine was a two piece rod and the rod end would unscrew while firing...I could only imagine what wouldve happened if the knob completely came loose inside.

Also the flat wire doesn't seem to have much strength to it, which caused a lot of my FTF issues.

I bought my first 1911, a Kimber Stainless Target II. Liked it so much I bought an Ultra Carry II. Then I bought my 3rd 1911, another Kimber in 9mm. Love them all. Now I think I need a 4th and I am looking at a Sig.

2 months ago I posted this thread about my first 1911, now I have a second and it's also a sig. They keep multiplying!

                            4 Lbs.?
I did my own and only got it down to 4.25 Lbs. No parts were exchanged, just a good polishing job.
One very important thing about Sig 1911s.
Their internals are MiM and the disconnector has extremely sharp edges. Make sure to polish them down or it will eat up the trigger bow. And I mean fast!

Yeah I never do trigger jobs myself on 1911s, I just have them done while they're back at the factory for one reason or another. My Sig 1911 had issues so while it was there I just had it done. My Lyman gauge says it's 4lbs avg 5 pulls.
