    First 1911, bought a Sig

Just as the title states, I jailed my first 1911 yesterday!

It was yet another impulse buy as always when I walk into my favorite FFL. Seems to happen once or twice a month

I know it won't be my last, and considering the price I figured I'd shoot the hell out of it until I know what I want from a higher-end 1911.

Got one just like it although not so nice and new and shiny and really like it. I am a 1911 guy and have 2 sigs and they stack up just fine for the $$. Oh, welcome to the addiction

Nice choice, I've had only one 1911, a nice Dan Wesson CBOB, but I sold it a couple years ago. It was so nice (and expensive) that I was always concerned with blemishes or wear. I've always liked Sig 1911's and can see myself getting one eventually.

If I were you I would keep it as your only 1911 and shoot it all the time like you say. Why do you need a "higher end" 1911 when you already have a perfectly good one? My goal is to have only one 1911 that I shoot the crap out of and do whatever I want with. One that will become well worn and I won't have to worry about cosmetic issues with. Just one reliable and trustworthy 1911.

          Good point!

I'd hate to have multiple 1911's only to sit in the safe among other things.

The stainless, non-railed version caught my eye...then I looked over and saw this one. Picked it up and fell in love

Funny how that works. I fight the urge to stop and look for that very reason. Hate leaving empty handed and almost always something on the bucket list.

              Congrats on the 1911

Hey bud. Good taste as usual. Is the barrel pinned or is that one of your out of state acquisitions?

Congrats, I have many 1911s but only 1 Sig stainless rail and it only has had 1 FRTB @around the 2k round count that was tula ammo. I absolutely love mine even though it was one of the least expensive of all my1911s. It shoots holes in holes.

I like the last line of your original post. Great approach!

its not a threaded barrel. The empty chamber indicator is holding the slide back.

Op. Nice pick up. I love my sig 1911 tacpac.

Nice gun! I doubt you'll stop at just one 1911.
