I dunno about my fellow calgun glockateers, but my favorite part about owning a brand new glock is when you've taken it to the range a handful of times, cleaned it a bunch, and it stops feeling gritty and the recoil spring stops making that squeaking noise. that moment when it becomes super slick on the rails just brings a smile to my face every time its racked.

Use motor oil in it and it always feels smooth. Even when it's dirty. I'll probably never buy a Glock brand new, waste of money.

My G26 is the most perfect semi-auto in my tiny arsenal.

I know I'm gonna get a lot of **** for this, but first thing I do when I buy a new Glock is frog lube it all up. I detail strip the entire thing, which only takes seconds(love that about glocks), then clean,heat up all of the parts and apply the frog lube paste. Once I wipe off all of the paste and assemble the gun, it feels so smooth and no squeekiness.

I have to admit, after having all nicer and more expensive guns, I was surprisingly excited to pick up my first Glock the other day. I find myself more comfortable with the thought of just shooting thousand of rounds without worrying about resale value, lol

Own a lot of 9mm's and 1911's of all types but only one Glock, polymer have S&W M&Ps and HKs, but I have to say I love my one Glock- gen 3 Glock 30sf bought used off fellow Calgunner w a nice 3.5# trigger and 7 mags.

True, unlike used rifles which never know how really gonna look when you show up for the PPT, with the Glock I don't even remember or care what the claimed round count was, it always goes bang and 10 rds of .45 Speer Gold Dots in it makes me feel good.

Glocks are great, I love mine but they aren't my favorite shooters, the recoil is too stiff for my liking. Just my .02 though
