LC9 Trigger Kit

LC9s, and LC9s pro are better implementations in this family.
The idea behind the LC9 trigger bar working the hammer catch, FP block and pulling the trigger back before the bar "drops" and allowing the hammer to fall on the FP is really a neat piece of engineering.
Practically, you really need to make sure the trigger bar is properly oriented and configured to make the gun work, because if its not - gun no workee.
I do not care for the double reset (two clicks) on the LC9, but love the LC9s."Bruen, the Bruen opinion, I believe, discarded the intermediate scrutiny test that I also thought was not very useful; and has, instead, replaced it with a text history and tradition test." Judge Benitez 12-12-2022

I instruct it if you shoot it. -
Well I can't have a LC9s, I have the older "double action only" version which has a long, crunchy, sucky trigger pull which I'm looking to improve.LC9s, and LC9s pro are better implementations in this family.

I had the old system with just the trigger, reduced hammer spring and trigger transfer bar. It worked for about 2 magazines worth of ammo and then just quit firing. It appeared to be a timing issue. The trigger bar would not deactivate the firing pin safety before the hammer dropped. Not sure why it went out of time after shooting a couple of mags, but it did.
Returned everything to stock and it works fine again. I wouldn't waste my money if I were you.Comment

Lot of reports just like yours out there. I was looking at an LC9 and putting a Galloway trigger kit in it, but after reading several reports of problems I decided to go on the hunt for an LC9S. I got lucky and found one. They're out there, just gotta keep your eyes peeled. $450 for an LC9, $100 for the trigger kit or $600 for the LC9s? True, but I already have the 9, bought it when they first came out 2010 or 11? I cant remember now. I paid well under 400 for it back then. My Wife also has one, a later production specimen (the lazermax edition), her trigger is much better than mine. Still long, but not crunchy.Lot of reports just like yours out there. Yes, I realize this, I am stuck with this setup unless I want to get a totally different gun, which I do not. So the question at hand is how/if to improve the trigger.10mm NutComment

I'm in the same boat.
I used to have an SW40VE with a 12lbs trigger pull, which I snapped in a lot with.
That being said, I can shoot the LC9 rather well; however, I'm a tinkerer at heart and think there is always a way to improve upon a design.
Unfortunately, I'm not willing to sacrifice reliability. Seems like this trigger kit isn't very reliable.Keeper of Cold Steel

Also, if it is on your CCW make sure you understand the restrictions on modifications made to your carry piece and any legal issues that can arise from them.

It is on my CCW, but I almost never carry it, however I'm already screwed on mods as I stripped the mag disconnect out of it years ago.

The Galloway LC9 trigger kit is an improvement over the stock, shorter take-up, two-click reset, smoother break. I have worked on one Galloway kit that needed a trigger bar adjustment while my LC9 has never needed anything and is still working fine stock. IMO not worth the extra $99.
IMO Be patient and look for a LC9s or G43 on the secondary PTP market."Bruen, the Bruen opinion, I believe, discarded the intermediate scrutiny test that I also thought was not very useful; and has, instead, replaced it with a text history and tradition test." Judge Benitez 12-12-2022

Skip the trigger mod and shoot the hell out of it, mine smoothed out a lot around the 1000 round mark, I was shooting soda cans consistently today at 10-15 yards. Not a great trigger but definitely good enough with practice and wear-in time, especially at self defense ranges... Not meant to be a target pistol... Then when you switch to "good" trigger like a glock you'll be shooting like Jerry miculek!Last edited by Maht_g; 03-09-2016, 6:08 PM.sigpic"That's more suspicious than a nun doing squats in a cucumber field!"Comment

I put the trigger bar only on my in laws LC9 I think it helped a lot, still not ideal though. I didn't change the trigger itself, it was only like 40$, I dont see it on their site now by itself though"People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."Comment

I own 18 handguns, the LC9 is the worst trigger out of the pack.10mm NutComment
