Glock is doing fine. An industry friend of mine who was approached to supply 22 converions for Glock was told that Glock sells more guns per year than all of the 1911 markers combined.

i think glock should come with adjustable grip sizes, and optional external safeties and get ride of the Safe Action trigger. also smooth out the trigger guard and add a loaded or cocked indicator

People who buy Glocks like them for their very simple design. I have a few 1911s and about 3 Glocks. I also have a Sig P6, a S&W 5906 a Tanfoglio 9mm. I like them all, but my preferred fighting pistol is still a 1911. That said I used a Glock 23 with a 9mm conversion as my main standby house pistol. Reason is my wife prefers it being simple, all she has to do is rack the slide and the long trigger pull doesn't intimidate her like a 3.5 lb or less trigger pull on my 1911s.

1911 style grip design. A friend just got his back from Bowie Tactical and the grip stippling work is amazing. Besides that, I love having to buy two-three brand new Glocks for the price of one Kimber or Hk.

In my opinion they are just find and nobody is going to bump them from LE anytime soon. They are simple to work on, cheap to replace, reliable, accurate, tough and above all user friendly. You dont need all those safety devices like thumb safeties, slide safeties, grip safeties, decockers etc. You dont want a glock to fire dont pull the trigger. The best safety is right between ones ears anyway. Sights a re a bit dated. but work for most people. They arent match pistols they are service weapons.

They shouldn't change anything, they're perfect they way they are.
I wouldn't buy one if they added all the external safeties, changable backstraps, etc..
The trigger is just fine if unless you're a 1911 fanboy looking for a single action trigger pull.

I disagree with that, plenty people shoot matches with them just fine. They make the longslide versions for just this reason.
