    Good Glock smiths?

Well, recently purchased my first Glock (20SF), and the trigger definitely has a lot left to be desired. Anyone have good recommendations? (Bay Area preferred, but not opposed to shipping). Would like to get it I the 3-3.5 lb range and smooth it up a bit. Been searching around online and getting mixed results.

You don't need to send it out given the massive aftermarket in drop in parts. Just going to a Glock "minus" connector ($25) and letting everything wear in a bit is enough for a lot of people although it won't be quite as light as you want. On the high end this guy https://www.glockcustomtriggers.com makes an awesome drop in trigger in that range.

Note that with Glocks it's going to be hard to get down that low without using a light enough striker string that you'll need to replace the striker as well which is part of why the higher end products tend to be pricier.

Thanks, I'll try one out and see, and if great will do a little write up. 4lbs is on the high side, but if it makes everything smoother that'll work for what I want. Thanks again

I prefer ALL my guns to be nice to shoot, no matter what brand/cost/type they are, and don't mind adding more to improve them. Honestly not exactly happy about the Glock, but wanted a back up for my other 10mm which has been having various issues.

I have not had good luck with aftermarket connectors, I only use factory minus connectors. I would also polish the minus connector, the firing pin safety plunger, and the trigger bar where it interfaces with the connector and the safety plunger, and the tab on the trigger bar that engages the striker, and if you want the face of the foot on the striker.

You can also add an extra power trigger spring and a reduced power safety plunger spring - less than $10 for both. That will get you closer to where you want. If you want to go any lower, you will need to use a reduced power striker spring.

I would just order this spring kit from Wolff so you have everything you need, and only use the striker spring from the kit if you still feel you need a lower pull. I personally would not use the light striker spring for defensive purposes.
Enhance your Glock with the Wolff Competition Spring Kit. Smoother, lighter trigger pull for Gen 1-4. Ideal for competition. Ships fast from NDZ Performance.

NDZ also sells factory Glock minus connectors for a good price.
Shop premium Glock parts & accessories for Gen 1–6. From slide upgrades to internal components, boost performance & reliability. Trusted by firearm enthusiasts.

WITH FREE SHIP OVER $20 - it is a no-brainer: one stop shopping for connector and comp spring set - only $26.50 out the door. I have ordered a bunch of factory connectors from NDZ over the years.

There are only 12 and a half parts to a Glock.

Jokes aside, Everything you need is on Utube for free. Get a new 3.5 lbs connector and a trigger bar with an all metal trigger (Apex, optional) and install them yourself. Very easy.

Post your results for all to see.

I'm not sure at this point - over time he's changed some of the components. He responds to email if you have any questions.

The Taran kits are incredible and affordable. If you're going to use this as a working gun or for CCW I would say stick to the stock trigger with a minus connector.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

I don't see what's wrong with a standard trigger....most people cannot outshoot a standard glock trigger.

That said I do prefer the minus connector (OEM) and that's it

minus connector and 25c trigger job. Way even if you still don't like it you can always get a aftermarket trigger and you're just down the cost of the connector.

Maybe s/he gets more enjoyment from a better trigger even if they can't fully utilize it. Or maybe they have enough f it money to just do whatever for no real reason. Doesn't really matter. To each their own
