its a fun little gun that when new jams really often, having said that it helps you with your tap and rack drills. once you get used to it take out the mag safety, polish away at the internals and maybe adjust the shape of the extractor to make it more reliable and you will have a nice little shooter that is surprisingly accurate and fun as hell.

Just picked mine up last week. Still need to take it to the range to try out. I figure for $164 otd I paid it's a good extra gun to have. I might be odd but since the firing pin safety is hard to switch off on mine I prefer the mag safety. For now I leave the firing pin safety off and just use the magazine safety. Makes it closer to my 1911 as well due to location.Comment

Turners carries the nickel and black as well as the version that comes with both the "target" and standard barrel.Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from poor decisions.Comment

Fun gun but might as well save more money for a buckmark or ruger 22/45. I like my phoenix but they been known to Crack the frame when shooting hyper velocity ammunition. One of these days I'll sell mine and use that money to upgrade to another buckmark.Comment

Mine works great! Followed the you tube vid on eliminating the extra safeties built in to it. I did buy the extra parts I modded, to replace it back to the gun, just in case it needs some warranty work. Have shot close to 2K HV rounds, so far no cracks or any issues. It is pinicky on ammo, no problems with CCI, some FTE with Win Super X and Federal bulk pack copper plated RNs, hates the Federal white box auto match.Comment
