The BHP creepy, heavy trigger will also a well documented issue with the BHP due to the magazine disconnector.

IIRC, it was a condition put in by the French as part of their solicitation for a new pistol. JMB and Dieudonne Saive put it in the BHP as requested, but the French, being the French, ultimately picked the Modele 1935. Thanks, France. Jerks.

My first Hi Power was a Satin Chrome one I bought in the late 70's. It came with Pachmayr grips. For what ever reason I never got hammer bite and never knew about it until I let someone else shoot it. They held the gun differently than I did. I do have and use shooting gloves, but they show no evidence of being struck. Maybe a different grip would move your hand down enough to prevent it. Just my .02

I went to the range again tonight, and this time, I wore a glove on my shooting hand. It was a golf glove and I cut about two inches off for my trigger finger. Oh man, no bites and all fun! [emoji7] [emoji7] [emoji7]

I shot better, too. I will not be making any changes to this beautiful gun. It is fine the way it is. All I need to do is wear a glove when shooting it.
