    I didn't do anything with my P6 except to clean it and polish the feedramp. I haven't tried any underpowered 9mm ammo, but mine is very reliable now with about 100 rounds of jam free shooting with hollow point ammo since it got the feedramp polished.

      Stock hammer (main)spring on the 225 was 24-24lbs IIRC. Also, I think the OP might be mistaking the main spring for the recoil spring in the orig. question.

      People replace the recoil spring when theirs might be worn out.

        I believe that is correct. 19# is not stock, but is the most common people change to when changing out the mainspring. I believe the P6 came with a 28# mainspring from Sig.

          Yes, 24 lbs. is th stock hammer-spring weight for a P225. I had my numbers mixed up.
