DE is not recoil operated so different set of rules applies.

Springs have to ensure they stop the slide before it slams into the frame. With recoil operated slides, the force will be proportional to the power of the load. Gas ports can be designed to keep fairly constant pressure so the force can be close to load-independent as long as there is any meaningful pressure in the barrel.

I'm not sure this is an explanation for DE, but it's something to research if you are interested.
