Collecting in CA - Practically Impossible

This is certainly an unpleasant state for gun rights supporters, but so far I've usually been able to find what I want, even if it costs a little bit more through a PPT. Before things get really hairy here, I want to make some progress on my Israeli collection so I picked up an Israeli Browning Hi-Power, came in pretty beat up but that's part of the charm. Always thought that if you could have one Israeli pistol, it would be the Jericho though...

Thanks to our ignorant political leaders in CA, I can't buy this off-roster Polymer IMI 941 Jericho from AIM Surplus, it's only $399 too. What a bummer. How sweet would it be to have an Israeli police trade-in to appreciate. Not a lot of demand for this pistol so it seems to be nearly impossible to find for sale as a PPT.

I suppose it's okay because countless lives were saved from these "unsafe" handguns. Coincidentally, they're trying to figure out who won the Iowa Caucus tonight. How the hell can anyone in Iowa vote for anti-2A politicians, can't they see what happened here.

Anyone also looking for a hard to find piece in CA to add/complete a collection?

It's practically impossible. You can only over-pay so many times, knowing that a few hundred miles away, it costs half as much...after a while, it becomes more and more difficult to justify.

I'm still keeping my eye out for a Jericho 941 though...Looks like a missed one a couple weeks ago in the for sale section. Went for quite a bit more than in a free state, but what can ya do.

Is there such a thing? I have a W. German p220, but it is in 45ACP. Never heard of a 9mm version. The only 9mm versions back then were the P225 (single stack) and the P226. After the wall came down they offered the P230 (.380) and then the .40sw (P229) and .357 Sig (P226). I don't recall them offering anything else during that time period.

The first P220's built were in 9mm- way back in 1975. Sig produced the 9mm P220 as a special order item until at least 2001.

There is a way to solve your dilemma:

1. Move out out of that socialist paradise and relocate to a free state. Stop giving the dumb-o-crats your tax money so they can use it to pass ever more restrictive gun laws.

2. When you get to a free state, don't vote for more dumb-o-crats.

3. Enjoy your new found freedom. I did it and trust me, it was worth it ten times over.

Actually if a person is into collecting COLLECTIBLE C&R handguns they are just fine in CA. Since now there is a hype about getting the latest and the greatest off roster handguns , I have added some REALLY nice pieces to my S&W revolver and military 1911 collection. Paid for them way less than I would on Gun Broker . Most out of state dealers will have no problem shipping C&R handguns to Your FFL .
