Do some research. There were some quality control issues with it. I also know that FN customer service is, I guess kind of spotty.

      Congrats!

All this talk about FNP-9 and I have convinced the guy who bought it off me to sell it back to me. He's my friend's cousin and bought my FNP-9 over a year and a half ago as a first gun. Since then, he's bought two more 9mm's. As luck would have it, he does not need the FNP-9 so he's agreed to sell it back to me. Should go down in March.

So if I'm reading the Roster right:

        FNP-9 (Stainless Slide/Black Frame) / Steel, Polymer Pistol 4" 9mm 1/1/2017
        FNP-9 (Stnls. Matte Black) / Steel, Polymer Pistol 4" 9mm 1/1/2017

We can buy either the silver or the black slide versions of the FNP 9 right? Are there any versions of the FNP 9 that are not on roster?

Both are on the roster. Interestingly enough, both are end of life models that were replaced by the FNX-9.

            UPDATE On FNP-9

No failures of any kind on this gun and have shot about 200 rounds through it so far. The DA is nice and not too heavy IMO. The single action is what I'm really happy about. A predictable and crisp break. As of now there are no cracks in the frame by the right side decocker on the frame like most have had. Overall very happy with it. Paid $550 to get it shipped altogether. Gonna cerakote the slide and barrel a type of grey or gunmetal and look for extra mags. then maybe think about getting nightsights but the standard ones it comes with are pretty good as is.

They are good gun for that price range... not that many after markets available compare to Glock, m&p, sig, and HK.

Cracked frame is super rare and not an occurrence on "most" FNP-9's. Even so, it sounds like cracked trigger groups are a bigger issue, but also extremely rare.

I just got mine back and pushed about 160 rounds through it the last two weeks. It was easily over 2k rounds when I sold it. Just gave it a good cleaning, but it truly is easy to shoot in SA and very reliable.

Glad to hear you're not having any issues with yours.

Indeed, there are very few upgrades for this model, but the stock trigger is pretty good so add a good set of sights and you are gtg.
