I got this gun at a pawn shop in 1999. I remember that it sat there for over a year. I couldn't afford the $475 but my wife said, "Just put it on layaway." What?!! How often do you hear that?! I assumed it was stainless but was thrilled to discover it was made in 1980 before stainless Pythons came out and was Electroless (Coltguard?) finish. Those grips were found locally on Craig's List a couple years ago for $25. It came with non factory Pachs. If it wasn't for my wife, I know I would never have owned a Python. Especially now.

I sold my Python for $357 (how ironic?) because we were having a baby and I needed cash. Would you want to sell it back to me?

Now that is a good, no GREAT investment! A while back American Rifleman had an article on the Colt snake market, and it was interesting. You could sell it for many times what you paid.

You're a lucky man, in many ways, e-nickel is one of the prettiest finishes you can have and on a python, theres no real words to describe it.
