FWIW...when I spoke to a CZ rep around early December (I inquired about the CZ 97), he said they will be manufacturing a variety of their pistols for California late Feb/early March. If that holds true, I would expect by late March we should see some CZs on the shelves.

The Gun Range in Sacramento has them. $639 I just purchased one today.
I'm also paying for shipping. Once it gets to my FFL, I have to pay their transfer fee and obviously the DROS.
I look at it this way, I'm paying extra to not have to wait so long. Besides, I'm getting it new. I've had horrible luck in the past with used items.Comment

It took me about 8 months to get my CZ collection together but I ended up finding my CZ's fairly locally to me. I had a Sig 220 on layaway at Sportsmans Warehouse here in Chico and when I went to make a payment they had an
SP-01 on the wall. Swapped the layaway over for that one. Went to another shop and they had a P-01 that I picked up, and they had 2 SP-01's in the case. When I went to pick up the P-01 they told me they were getting a 97B in and I put money down on it the next day. Ended up getting my TS from another store that had it in stock, and they also ended up special ordering a 75 SA for me. Should be picking up the SA this weekend, and have another SP-01 on layaway at Sportsmans that I should be picking up next week. I guess I just got lucky with where I was picking mine up at.Comment

There's a CZ 75 SP01 here in Bakersfield...
Call first. The website shows in stock, but it can't hurt to double check.Comment

check ammo bros in Cerritos. I think I saw one there yesterdayComment

Insight shooting range in Artesia had them in stock just last week. Not too far from Long Beach.Comment
-
Yep, Saw this there as well. The price is a bit higher than you can get them from other places when they are in stock though... Also, the sp-01s at Insight are the hi-cap models, so if you want to purchase from them, they keep the mags

Yeah I think they told me they swap out the standard capacity magazines with 10rd mags.Comment

Well, too late now. lol
It's already shipped from Sacramento. Not a big deal. Totally forgot about that place. I go to F&T in Stanton because they allow rifles there. It's pretty much my go to range if I don't feel like driving up to Burro.
Thanks anyway gents.Comment
