    CZ 75 SP-01 lead time

    Hello everyone,

I'm well aware that lead times on CZ's are undetermined. The reason for this thread is I'm trying to get a ballpark from others that have placed an order on a back ordered CZ in the past and how long it took for the gun to actually come in.

I'm not in a huge rush. The used ones I've seen are all too far away or asking too much. I am willing to pay a bit more due to their limited availability, but nothing too outlandish. As I said, not in a huge rush. More impatient than anything. I'm sure you guys know the feeling. lol

So, for anyone that's placed a down payment on a back ordered CZ, how long did it actually take to receive the gun? (DROS time not included)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Edit: I'm located in Long Beach.

Always helpful to disclose approximate location. Usually other calgunners can at least point you in the right direction. Seems as if SP01's are a little more avaiLble at this time compared to last year.

I was looking for one recently and the outlandish prices in the marketplace perturbed me. People here are asking more than new for an on roster gun and people are buying it. I just bided my time and went through gunbroker. you should check slickguns.com periodically as well.

If you have a good ffl for internet transfers it may be the way to go.

Long Beach. I've found a couple of used ones but they're all in the Sacramento, San Fran areas. That's a bit of a drive for me.

I do have a good FFL, the problem is nobody has the on roster versions in stock anywhere. I have scoured the internet.

Can't tell if serious or playfully mocking. LOL

You ordered a CZ and it took 2 years?

Your ffl cant block your mags for you or the internet vendors dont ship to CA? or is it a sku issue?

I bought one from a Texas dealer who shipped it here for $629.00. Sold it a year later here on Calguns for $900.00. Not sure if things have changed or if this is still the case? Nice gun, didn't want to sell it but there was this .45 ACP revolver I had to have, I don't regret the trade off.

CZ's stock last year was more available but maybe that had dried out and may be in another drought. Also that they have been bought up due to recent events, ie San Berdu, exec. orders by you know who.

He's probably not kidding. I waited 2 years till I found my P-06, probably about the same for 97Bs to come back in stock, SP-01s. If you find them in stock, buy now.

Last time I put my Name on a List with a CZ Dealer it took almost 18 months.

By that time I found a used one, so I got my deposit back.

                          Better off going to gunbroker.

I've been trying to get the on roster version to avoid complications, but I'll admit that i don't know the details here.

Can I get an off roster gun sent here? Do FFL's normally block mags to make them CA. legal? If you block the mag of an off roster gun, does it make it CA. legal?

There's plenty of off roster versions available online, but I assumed those were out of the question. The only SP-01 on roster is sku# 01152.

                            Thanks for your input.

There's only one I've seen priced that high. the others were going for around $750 to $800 for a factory model with no extras.

$800 is a stretch, but I might be willing to pay it if the conditions are right. I'm not totally ignorant. I can appreciate supply and demand. lol

It is not like you want a Ferrari with all circular windows that needs to be ordered. Go on GunBroker or do a search for SP01 with the Calif SKU# "for sale" and about umpteen places have them on sale and ready to ship.
If you do not want to even do that effort, Call "2Azone" or "Audiophil", both are Calgun vendors and listed. They can get you one in a few days if not in the Next Day shipment of FedX/UPS.

Your problem is solved if you really really want to buy one.
