Hey 1911 gurus,
So when i take my AO 1911 to the range, after about 2-3 mags through it once it warms up the magazine release starts doing the following...
-if the slide is locked back, i insert a new mag and drop the slide using the magazine release, it loads a round and enters battery fine
-if the slide is locked back, i insert a new mag and pull the slide back using the overhand method and let it go, the slide release pops out slightly and jams the gun (i am not applying finger pressure on the protruding button of the slide release from the other side of the frame btw)
what needs to be done to fix this? i tried just swapping the slide release with a wilson combat one and it didnt help. does this gun need to head to a gunsmith for some fitting work?
