Understood about the rock island quality. But, they have come a long way the past 4 years. They recently even released a doublestack 6 inch 10mm. Wish I could get my hands on that.

If not the 2011 platform why not CZ or tanfoglio?

After shooting my 10mm a bunch over the years, it's pretty much a safe/nightstand gun. It doesn't like cheaper ammo, so it's pretty spendy to shoot. But man is it fun... I love it



I actually was talking to a friend of mine today, who did machining and assembly on my AR upper, he said no question, CZ SP01 shadow. And that was after I asked him how much trigger work would cost on a base CZ... He said get the shadow, he has one he does matches with, and got it before all this registry nonsense. So I'm going to check into that. So he turned down cash on a trigger job and recommended that one.

I'm kind of going that way. I'm not in a big rush, just figured, might be fun with the tax return this year to get a pistol to use in matches, and a new shotgun for matches too. That one, I'm set on the Stoeger M3k.

That is good advice.
CZ SP01 with CZ custom or CGW treatment will rival any 1911 in 9mm. That is for the little people like most. LEOs can just order a "Shadowed" SP01 direct from CZ custom and pick it up they after tomorrow.

Yea, he said he likes his shadow. He also said they make good race guns as my ability and altitude in matches increase. I'm still just so hung up on 1911s though... And I saw a few Rock island double stacks on Faith Armory's website that are HALF the price of a CZ SP01 shadow. So I am going to check em both out.

Edit: apparently "in stock" on the website means, it's immediately available. They don't have the double stacks there... Heck... I've been to 3 gun shops this week, and they barely have enough to put one respectable collection together. Everyone seems to be cleaned out lately. Haha... I guess everyone is right... Out current president and governor are the best gun salesmen ever
