Doj delay

I got a notice of delay. Anyone have a number. I keep getting transferred to an automated system and get nowhere

I think few members received delay as well... it could be due to backlog maybe..

Was supposed to pick up the 3rd on my birthday. Haven't heard anything from turners and can't get a he of anyone at doj. Get transferred all around then end up at an automated system.

It was a new purchase. Turners called me last wed and told me not to come in to get it Sunday. Was hoping it what be cleared by now but since it's not I want to see if I can do anything to help the process along. Bummer spending all kinds of money to get nothing

Do you have a very common name where there may be many guys with the same name? Sometimes that will delay if any of them have a criminal record and the DOJ wants to do a closer verification that you arent him. They should be able to do it within the 10 days but with the sheer number of firearms that were sold over the holiday, im seeing delays in many discussions on other boards as well

I hear that they even check DMV and Child Support records as avenues to deny the OK.

Having sad this, I know of two guys with speeding tickets and/ or late child support payments; and they both cleared in 10 days.

Neither was a new buyer, though.

Plenty of misdemeanors in CA will prevent you from buying/owning firearms. At least you didn't get denied outright, so hopefully this works out.
