I think the Colt of old is dead. Based on their current product quality, if they did bring the Python back, it would not be the gun it once was.

True. You'd think people would be all over their 1911's since they announced they will not be "on Roster" next year but they are not, I found a SS Government standard model and two Blue XSe at Lgs last week and they have been there for a while. Today is the last day to dros it tho, after that , can't buy it.

We have several at my LGS too. I'm guessing they had 5-6 of course none were priced under $1200. Bet they go on sale Saturday. Like LE is going to buy them, really?

As I understand it the machinery for Colt's revolvers are worn out.
