Been to 3 different LGS in the past few days, seems that all major name 9mm's are gone, a few Kahr's, and 1911's are all that seem to be left of the autos. Also a couple of a 40's and 45's of mixed manufactures still on display.

Looks like most of the models that are leaving SA's roster collection are the long-discontinued OD and FDE XD models.

XD is popular because it's on the roster and can be had for $399. Add in the Springfield promo of extra magazines and pouch. And excellent Springfield customer service, it's a no brainer.

As to the roster, I highly doubt any manufacture will decide not to renew. Every December we get this "panic" and FUD. Since the roster is approved by the 9th District, it's not going anywhere. And if manufactures don't renew, they will give up California market for the foreseeable future. However, if they plan on changing or modifying the gun, then yes, they will drop off the roster like S&W M&P line. Or if manufacture decides to discontinue the line (like Glock gen 3 eventually). If no changes, they will renew indefinitely.

I heard that Springfield were slowing their inventory of XD's into CA. Some of my stores that I got to have low inventory.

Roster expiration, San Bernardino terrorism, Oh bah mah, Hillary, CA Legislature concerns have culminated in another mini-spree of gun buying.

Went to Down Range in Chico, only 2 XD's, both compact 9, and lots of real estate where XD's used to be. They did however have a Seal edition gen 3 G19.

Ammo Bro Ontario is almost empty of handguns and they still have a line of people waiting. They had 2 CZ .40cals, 1 Colt 1911, 4 Kahrs, about 7 kimber .45, and the rest were revolvers. No Glocks, no XD's, no Smiths. You can special order though with 15% down.

DOJ changed policy this year to expire all roster listings on Jan 1.

Everyone has been flipping out about it and many gun shops have been taking advantage of it and scaring people into thinking that nothing will be available next year.

                        It's all BS.

Glock is discontinuing the Gen 3?
