LAPD does not allow the modification of the trigger mechanism at all. the most you could do to your pistol is maybe stipple it and buy better sights and that's only if its one you bought on your own. Cant do anything to the department issued one

I heard LA County Sheriffs are the same. they can't mod their department issued.
