Did u try a different mag? -
Never had a problem in any of my Sigs from day 1 until current: I've had/ still have some p228, 229, 226 all German pistols.. Both in 9mm and .40
What's the round count on yours and circa date of manufacture? Just trying to get some more info to provide better feedback...
Base on what you presented so far: - try a different magazine as stated above, - are you using factory Sig or Mecgar Sig mags (these are the only kinds I swear by in my Sigs) -if it's a new magazine down load by 1-2 rounds or leave it fully loaded for a week or so - did you change anything with the recoil spring? ( all springs and everything factory spec'd?)Last edited by vg247; 11-08-2015, 1:28 AM.Comment

Got my New ( 9mm ) Sig S2022 September 15, earlier this year.
I've been to the range 4 times since then; and I've got over 900 rounds through it. All sorts of commercial ammo is on the diet, including HP -
Trigger regimen includes Try-for-Accuracy slow fire, also lots of double and triple taps and a few rapid dumps from waist high as well.
My Sig has been flawless throughout. I have 7 different Sig Factory Mags that I cycle through; and when rapid firing, that's 70 rds at the target 20 ft away, as fast as I can squeeze the trigger, eject, reload, repeat. Yes, I have become best friends with the trigger Reset. Once you know its "feel", it's perfectly reliable and predictable...and easy- FAST.
I can only speak for myself, but I can say without reservations that my Sig ROCKS..!
I hope that you get your sorted out in short order.

If its a newer pistol, one owner then i'd try a different mag and a different type of round.
Then I'd run the results of this trial by Sig on Monday, their customer service is very good in my experience.
If its an older pistol, modified etc then first thing i'd do is change out the old springs with one of Grayguns kits or send it Bruce Gray and his team. They do brilliant work.Comment

Humm... maybe you just have to give sig call...
My sig, only sig, p320 runs flawless.Comment

I thought for sure you needed to change the recoil spring going between calibers.Comment

THIS ^^^^^^
I have over 10,000 rnds thru my primary traning pistol, a P226mk25 without a single stoppage, EVER! My personal opinion, as soon as you modify a weapon / change it from the way it was designed and left the factory, YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE! IN this case the fault it totally yours as outlined in the quote above.Last edited by Ronin2; 11-08-2015, 11:46 AM.Comment

My P229 DAK 40 runs flawlessly. The 40/357 recoil spring is different from the 9mm. If you have a recent recoil spring it should be painted light blue on one end. The 9mm spring is white on one end.Comment

Try a different mag first because that's the easiest thing to do. Also, check the recoil spring as others have suggested.
BTW, the Sig factory offers the service package where they replace the night sights, all the springs and check functionality. I believe the Sig reps around these boards can offer it for $99, which is a bargain especially if the night sights are useful to you.Comment

Round count? New pistols will sometimes choke on their first outing. Give it a thorough cleaning and try again.
Grease on the rails? SIGs like to run wet (grease, not oil).
Main recoil spring? If its worn out it wont push the slide shut with enough force.
Try multiple magazines to eliminate the possibility of a bad mag.
Are you slingshotting the slide or using the slide release?Comment

Sorry I've taken so long to answer guys!
The gun was made in 2006 or 2007 I know for a fact the round count is above 1200. The spring is a light blue spring. I have 5 magazines for it all failed.
I tried some American eagle 40 cal bullets and they worked fine but for some reason pmc just doesn't work.
I thought factory ammo was pretty much the same?I don't drink or Smoke. I spend my money on gunpowder and gasoline.Comment
