Not sure what to tell you. I tested two g36's I had. One was newer and the other was an older OD g36 I bought used. I checked the used g36's serial number after I got it home and realized it was on the recall list from glock. It really pissed me off that someone pushed their defective gun off on me and it had several malfunctions when I fired it. I decided to compare it to the newer one part for part and the only difference was the follower. I also modified the slide stop a little to make it lower profile. The guns were both totally stock. After switching mags to the newer style g36 mags the older gun worked flawless.
I never used aftermarket extensions as I didn't see the need. G36 mags already extend to support the pinky finger. Maybe the aftermarket extensions are causing the problem but who knows. I usually keep my guns stock, especially for carry.
