    XDm 10rd Magazines?

Got a customer whose son gave him an XDm 40 for Christmas. Now we can't find any 10rd magazines for it. Anyone have any ideas?

If I were going to attempt to permanently limit the factory 16rd mags to 10rd, what is the best way?

    This kinda sucks.

I don't know much about the Springfield XDm. Can it use Springfield XD mags? If so, check out www.cdnninvestments.com

Looks like they have 10rd mags for the Springfield XD 40.

edit: woops nvm, out of stock =\

new design...XD won't fit XDm (only from what i've read).

here's a link on how to do 10/30 AR mags...might give you some insight on how to do that.

I would think, if possible...to glue/epoxy some sort of block to the follower, make sure it doesn't go past 10 rounds.

Or keep the mags disassembled, until dude, goes outta state, n he can enjoy the full 16 rnds

i'd like to know too...still looking for that HK P30

Even a 16 round magazine jury rigged to take 10 rounds is still a 16 round mag, right? I'd think it'd have to be factory, at least in the eyes of a judge.

Quick question, are XDm's even on the The California ‘safe gun list’?

They don't have to be if his out-of-state son gave it to him. It would be transfered through an in-state FFL as an intrafamily exempt transfer.

Yeap, to the above...XDm's aren't on the CA list, but if his pops gave it to him, should be all good to go...lucky dude, wish my dad would do that.

+1 not yet anyhow. I would modify the 16rds to a permanent 10rd and be done with it

I know this is an old thread but since I was just contacted regarding 10 round mags and couldn't find a source, I figured it was worth a bump.

I'm not located in Cali, but my own personal XDM purchased in August 2011 says on the case "Not Legal in california with 19 round magazines."

So......why did you bump this 3 year old thread? Just curious, do you have some kind of question or something?

Ya, the XD(m) can not be purchased here in CA through an FFL nor can it be purchased on-line and sent here, however, it can be sold to LEO and it can be PPT'd to a CA resident from someone that brings it here from out of state and has a valid CA ID/DL.
