    Maks CA legal?

So there's a bunch of Bulgarian Makarovs at J&G, Classic, Buds, and Aim. Are these ok to order for us CA residents? Couldn't find them on the roster, but I'm unsure if they're considered C&R. I've wanted one for awhile now.

To be C&R, a copy would need to have been manufactured 50 years or more ago - before 1965, to be safe.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

^ yep! Got a 1964 EG on the way! Love maks! Never done business with them, but call and see if they can accommodate you with one. I have no clue about their CA friendlieness or anything about them, but it cant hurt to try. If not, you may just need to find one on the secondary market that would fit the criteria.

The Bulgarian is not named as C&R but you could use the link Librarian posted to date it.

I would contact J&G and Classic. They are both CA and C&R friendly. Talk to them about dating their guns with that website and see if they have any old enough to be C&R.

        Good luck.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Bulgarian, Chinese and Russian (have adjustable sights) commercial Maks are NOT C&R, there therefore cannot be bought out of state and brought into California. Of course, any of them can be bought in-state via PPT. So all of those nice Bulgarians they have been advertising are a no go for you. Only EG and Russian military (non-adjustable sight) Maks are C&R. Took me quite a while to track down a Bulgarian Mak in state that I bought locally from a Calgunner. EG and Russian milsurp happen to also be the most desirable and therefore, the most expensive.
