Over the PM9, less recoil due to the stainless frame and smother trigger.

Kahr pros in general, very smooth trigger pull no staple gun clank like a glock trigger/excellent for CCW, very reliable.

The only cons that comes to mind is if the empty mags are dropped on concrete or hard surface the floor plate may pop off shooting the mag entrails into outer space. Also the rear sight dash can be mistaken for the front dot, but can be easily cured by a black marker.

I own the K9 (the stainless steel framed big brother), and it's been reliable since day 1 -- even though Kahr states that there's a 200 round break-in. No FTE or FTF.

Before purchasing the K9, I shot both it and the MK9. The stainless steel frame helps soak up recoil, though the weight can be an issue if you plan to use the either for CCW. As Munny stated, it has a buttery-smooth DA trigger, but it's a looooooooooong trigger pull. It took some time to get used to, but wan't a deal breaker to me. Also, the newer K and MK9's (I believe) come standard with the Elite trigger that Kahr offers, not the old NYPD 14lbs pull.

I decided to go with the K9 because my pinky would hang off the MK9, and I prefer a full grip; but the MK9 is a fine handgun regardless!
